Topps debut a new concept set that mixed current players and past stars with designs from the past. Rebranding from 2011 Topps Lineage and drawing on the inspiration from the Archives sets from the early 2000s, 2012 Archives is a 200 card base set divided into 4 different past designs. The designs from 2012 Topps Archives are 1954 (1-50), 1971 (51-100), 1980 (101-150), and 1984 (151-200). Cards number 201 to 241 are short prints and feature All-Time Fan Favorites subset in random Topps designs from past years. Card #241 is extremely rare and is Bryce Harper's rookie card. There are several insert sets that pay homage to past Topps sets, including a reprint set, 77 Cloth, and 67 Sticker.
